A day in the life...

...of our dog Peanut.

Dogs are curious creatures. And really are great companion animals.

Recently, we've been teaching her hand commands. She is such a fast learner and even though she has a dominant personality she is very obedient with assertive people. She learned the hand signals in only a few minutes, but we're not always consistent in using them like we should be. And we are still in the stage where we say the command AND use the hand signal.


"Sit"

"Lay down" (lower hand)

"Come" (move hand forward)

So, next time you come to our house, you can use the commands. It's difficult to be consistent with them, so you will help us out a lot. That will also help with her excitement issues. Unfortunately she doesn't know "stay" yet. Just remember to be assertive in your tone and body language.
